Kat Howley is a London based sculptor who draws on her experience from working in the fashion industry to create what Kat refers to as her ‘sensory objects’. Creating tactile pieces that encapsulate her joyful and humorous approach to exploring the evolving relationship she has with her self and how that relates to the world around her.
Colourful works taking on familiar egg forms to abstract shapes, usually embellished with feathers and crystals. Exploring themes of mixed emotions, fluid feelings and curious anxieties. Pieces reflective of sometimes difficult emotions and that recognise the joy, humour and lightness that can be found within them.
Notably exhibiting her piece GLOWING AND GROWING in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024.
